For the past year our kids have been asking to see snow and finally we just decided to go. My husband picked the area and we went back and forth as to what mountain; Beech or Sugar. The final decision was based on a few things but visiting now I think either would have met our “wants” for the vacation. The mountains of NC were perfect, not too distant of a drive but far enough from Florida to see snow and experience all it has to offer; skiing and tubing. I was excited to ski, see mountains and enjoy winter with Adam and the kids. Once we picked a mountain my next task, which took the longest, was finding a place to stay keeping in mind several things that we wanted; a place to ourselves, kitchen and for it to look like we were in the mountains…and the plan started.
This area has a lot to offer from away from theme parks of the Sunshine State. Great place to take a vacation during the winter, and I imagine other times of the year as well.
