Life Support? Give Blood.
Blood is a remedy that can only be given from one person to another -
no other resource is offered. Donors are wanted daily for many patients who need it.

Donating blood benefits – if you have never donated consider doing so because not only are you saving a lives as a donor you get benefits also. Before you are able to donate you are given a mini physical exam. All your vitals are taken, and your hematocrit level is taken – which is the level of your red cells in your blood.
After you donate you are sent a report. During this process you might discover you have high blood pressure or even high cholesterol (which is how I found out in my early 20’s). Your 1 pint donation can be used to save up to 3 people who may be suffering from numerous aliments. Your blood will reproduce and you can give again in 56 days. Donating blood may decrease the possibility of heart disease for men. Minority blood is more in need because it is can use to treat Sickle Cell.
Hey, it even takes off 1 pound!
Before you go – drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. You can donate blood at a blood bank, or even attend a drive. Most of the time they offer incentives to donors in the form of gift cards and coupons, but aside from that you leave knowing you did something great for another person(s). Hopefully you or a loved one are not the one on the receiving end, waiting for blood, and remember it’s in you to give!
